The Centre is designed to support entrepreneurs, inventors and small businesses from that first spark of inspiration to successfully launching and developing a business. It offers free access to a comprehensive collection of business and intellectual property databases and publications, including general start-up advice, information on funding sources, market research, company data, business news and information on patents, trade marks, registered designs and copyright.
BUSINESS DURHAM
Business Durham is the first point of contact for businesses operating in County Durham, offering advice and guidance to support their growth and development, and providing businesses with an easy route in to County Council services that they may need to access.
BUSINESS INNOVATION GATEWAY
The Business Innovation Gateway brings together the expertise of Business Durham, through the North East Technology Park (NETPark), Durham University and the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) to provide companies with multi-layered support which encompasses; office and lab space, technical equipment, market knowledge, Intellectual Property (IP) opportunities and review services, access to finance and funding opportunities, technical skills and research expertise.
BUSINESS NORTHUMBERLAND
Business Northumberland is a new support service dedicated to helping people who are thinking about starting a business or have recently started a business in Northumberland. The service offers three programmes that will give entrepreneurs the support to start new businesses and also provide high quality coaching to drive accelerated growth in established businesses.
BUSINESS SUPPORT HELPLINE
Get business support and advice over the phone when you’re unable to access the internet or online business support services. The helpline provides a quick response service to people with simple questions about starting or running a business. It also provides a more in-depth service for those with more complex enquiries.
